MY MUM'S
A BUG-EYED
MONSTER
Mums come in all shapes and sizes, but there’s never been a mum quite like this. With boggly eyes and arms like a gorilla’s, she can pull up tiny trees and terrifies teachers in the playground. So when she heads into school for sports day, an afternoon of monster mayhem begins.
“My Mum’s a Bug-Eyed Monster” is the debut picture book for writer and illustrator team Andy Rigden and Jim Landen. A funny, warm-hearted story about feeling different and the unstoppable power of mums, it’s published by Tiny Tree on World Book Day, 2019: March 7th.

MEET ANDY
& JIM
Andy and Jim first met in an advertising agency. They spent many years working together as a creative team, thinking up stories when they should have been designing and writing adverts. This is their first children’s book.
Andy writes the words. Jim’s draws the illustrations. And they both come up with ideas.
SCHOOL PACKS
We’ve created resources to help Teachers (and parents) bring the book alive for children in Reception and KS1. They’ve been developed with teachers and Head Teachers to support the current curriculum. We’d love to hear how you’ve used them and any ideas you have for new Monster Mum activities.
